In New York, Autumn is brought in with trendy designers and sleek models walking New York Fashion Week runways. But when the weather gets warmer and it’s finally time for Spring, it’s dancers and their galas that ring in the changing season and beautiful weather. First was Youth America Grand Prix’s 50th Anniversary Gala in April, followed in early May by New York City Ballet’s Spring Gala, and, finally, last night was American Ballet Theatre’s (ABT) Spring Gala. The trio of evenings all held at Lincoln Center.

ABT celebrated the 10th anniversary year of Alexei Ratmansky as ABT’s Artist in Residence and he presented his World Premiere of The Seasons. ABT honored Andrew F. Barth, who Chairs their Board of Trustees. Elizabeth Segerstrom chaired the Gala alongside Pamela and David Ford, Sutton Stracke and Emily and Len Blavatnik. Elizabeth’s Segerstrom Center For The Arts in sunny Costa Mesa California is ABT’s winter home.

Guests included Elizabeth An, Amy Astley, Alec and Hilaria Baldwin, Hamish Bowles, Fiona Cibani, Lauren Santo Domingo, Charles Fabius, Joanna Fisher, Renee Fourcade, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Judith Hoffman, Katie Holmes, Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl, Britt Meyer, Grace Pen, Carol Perry, Douglas Runte, Jean Shafiroff, Paul Sparks, Barbara and Donald Tober, Diana Vishneva and Konstantin Selinevich, Marshall Watson, and ABT dancers Hee Seo, Stella Abrera, Daniil Simkin, Sarah Lane, Christine Shevchenko, Isabella Boylston and James Whiteside.
