PHOTOS: House of Peroni Opening Curated by Art Production Fund

The West Village was buzzing last week when Italy’s premium lager, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, and the Art Production Fund teamed up to debut the third annual installment of House of Peroni. The brands annual pop-up experience brings style to the world of beer as it celebrates a dynamic mix of forward thinking artists and creatives.

New York City’s art and culture crowd, such as Olivia Palermo, Simon Huck, Ezra Williams, Casey Fremont, Logan Horne, and more, celebrated the showcase of contemporary style and the evolution of creative expression, displayed through an immersive installation from renowned architectural designer Jenny Sabin. Titled LUSTER, the photo luminescent canopy structure acted as a full service bar that provided a luminous, intriguing and interactive space where guests sipped Peroni, enjoyed light fare and danced to tunes from DJ Harley Viera Newton. Adding a sweet treat to the evening was candy couture artist behind NYC’s famed Sweet Saba, Maayan Zilberman, who brought the ‘Glass Garden Lost and Found: Of Healing and Knowledge’ to the space.

Inspired by The Garden of Eden and Italy’s Orto Botanico di Padova, the world’s most famous botanical garden, Maayan created a collection of medicinal and poisonous candy flowers. Guests were able to interact with the installation through a written riddle or numerology questionnaire that gave them permission to claim a live Roman Chamomile blossom, representing healing and growth, and exchange it for a gold-infused candy Oleander sprig, a lethal plant symbolizing knowledge and awakening. The guests then left the former in the latter’s place for the full-circle experience in the enchanting garden space.

House of Peroni will now travel to LA, Miami, and Washington D.C. for guests to stop by during various ticketed daytime and evening programming.
