Chashama and the NYC Economic Development Corporation invite the greater New York City area to visit the Brooklyn Army Terminal for the annual BAT Open Studios. Spread across two adjacent buildings and situated along Brooklyn’s waterfront in Sunset Park, over 70 artists in the Space to Create program will open their workspaces to the public for this special event. For one weekend only, visitors can tour the artists’ studios, explore incredible new and in-process works, learn about the Chashama Space to Create program and its artists, and experience the rich history of the Brooklyn Army Terminal during Open House New York.

The Chashama Space to Create artists open their studios to the public! We invite you to explore incredible new work in 70+ studios, and experience the rich history of the Brooklyn Army Terminal during Open House New York.

Chashama and the NYC Economic Development corporation invite the greater New York City area to visit Chashama’s largest subsidized workspace program, located at the historic Brooklyn Army Terminal. Spread across two adjacent buildings and situated along Brooklyn’s waterfront in the Sunset Park neighborhood, the workspace artists at BAT include painters, sculptors, photographers, and experimental mixed media artists. In addition to Open Studios, Chashama offers the artists in the Space to Create program curator visits, an online registry, professional development workshops, access to Materials for the Arts, and a free online membership with Orangenius.
