Timed to coincide with the centennial of Ireland’s Easter Uprising, which paved the way for Irish independence, Hazel: Made in Belfast recounts the story of American-born artist and social diplomat Lady Hazel Lavery who was instrumental in orchestrating the Anglo-Irish peace talks in 1921. Featuring performances by the highly acclaimed soprano Sarah Power, Dublin Symphony violinist Aveen McEntee, Irish poet and pianist Terence Browne, and New York artist and producer Gregory de la Haba, Thomas Moore’s Irish Melodies form the framework for the narrative about the establishment of the two Irelands.
