Luciano Benetton’s latest contemporary art exhibit, Imago Mundi, launched last night at Pratt in Brooklyn. The evening included a conversation with Phong Bui (Editor The Brooklyn Rail), Eleanor Heartney, and Shahzia Sikander about the ideals behind the exhibit; breaking down cultural barriers through art. With more than 17,000 pieces from 100 countries in a single format of 10x12cm, Imago Mundi, is the idea of art and world. Roughly 3,000 pieces from 14 countries are on display at Pratt until May 28th, with more information available at imagomundiart.com.
