Just in time for Mother’s Day, Ari Seth Cohen returns with Advanced Style: Older and Wiser, a celebration of senior style around the globe. Inspired by his grandmother’s unique sense of style and her indomitable spirit, Cohen set forth to capture the creativity and wisdom of seniors to show a positive and inspiring image of aging, igniting, in the words of New York Times Style editor Vanessa Friedman, “a movement.”

With over 100,000 copies sold worldwide, Cohen’s first book, Advanced Style (powerHouse Books, 2012) set the standard for glamour, fashion, and beauty among the over-60 set in the world’s most stylish locales. Similar in format to the original, Advanced Style: Older and Wiser includes photographs taken in Los Angeles, London, Cape Town, Rome, Florence, Tokyo, San Diego, Palm Springs, Melbourne, Sydney, New York, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Stockholm, and Geneva. The book also includes 22 short essays written by the subjects of the book, distilling the wisdom and lifestyle secrets of the older generation, as well as a foreword by the great bon vivant Simon Doonan.
